I have no clue what that means. All I do know is that I am not one. Everyone else here in the office is. They were all going so I was too.
I stuffed myself into a suitcase and my co-workers, after much struggle, were finally able to carry me into the luncheon. (I really just walked in the door, but it sounds much better if I went in a suitcase.)
Even though I went to their luncheon I still don't know what makes you a classified employee. I just know there is a lot of them. There was like 500 people in the ballroom. How were they going to possibly feed us all. You think I would have learned by now to never doubt the USU catering people. Within 30 minutes everyone had there food. Everyone was able to get there fill too. It wasn't just crap food either. This was top-notch food.
You think after all the times I've seen USU catering come through in the clutch I would stop doubting them. They really are amazing. I highly reccomend them for your next event.
After the food things got bad, real bad. The event was a disaster. Some awards were handed out to some people I've never heard of. Some guy gave a talk and it was only semi-riveting. There were prizes though, but when 500 people are there what are the odds that you are going to win anything? I did win a sweet lava lamp though.
Now for the real reason I told you this long boring story. This luncheon didn't end until 1:45. This is important to note as I get off at 2. Remember that this thing started at noon and that I started work at 10. I'd managed to cut my 4 hour work day in half by going to a 2 hour luncheon. What could be better than that?
Now for the real reason that I just told you that information. If you remember back to the start of this I had just started writing a web log when I had to stop to go to this luncheon.
The moral of this story: You would have gotten your web log a day sooner if it wasn't for the luncheon.
It's probably for the best. If it wasn't for the luncheon this thing would have been even more boring.
Song of the Web Log:
Heart It Races (As played by Dr. Dog) by Architecture In Helsinki
There is other versions. They are good too, but Dr Dog's is the best.
